STORY BEHIND THE SONG:  I have been a diabetic since 2007, my mother 10 years before that.  This song is really about what happens when you live with a terminal illness that kills you slowly.  I wanted it to be upbeat, but also to share the message behind what happens to many of us with this horrible disease.  And how it affects us.   If you are a diabetic, I know you can relate, and if you are not, this will help you understand the things we go through with this disease.   I wanted to bring awareness to this disease, because its estimated 1 in 3 americans are pre-diabetic and 1-5 are full blown diabetic like myself.  Its a constant struggle to try and beat this disease on a daily basis.  I hope you enjoy the song, and remember understand us, but don't feel sorry for us.  Just give us your support and understanding that is all we can ask, because its our cross to bear.

Woke up feeling like I drank all night
I know better But I can't get right
Stick my finger Squeeze the blood outside
Hate To Do It But I just cant hide
Well I woke up this morning
had them blood sugar Blues
Read two fifty But I need one ten
Take my meds Here we go again
Count the calories   cut out the carbs
run the treadmill Shouldnt be so hard
Well I woke up this morning
had them blood sugar Blues
Cannot have what you want to eat
high blood sugar put me right to sleep
A few months now hitting up the gym
my A1C is back on track again
Well I woke up this morning
had them blood sugar Blues
